My Story

At Mandoka Dreams and Creations, my story begins with our Indigenous roots from Kettle and Stoney Point Reserve. Although my family is no longer on the reserve our Indigenous connection alive through our craft. We carry the name George from our ancestor George Mandoka, and creativity flows through our veins. From grandfathers beading headdress and wood carving, to aunts crafting clothing and jewelry, to my own dreamcatchers, jewelry, and wood burnings, artistry is our legacy.

I started crafting dreamcatchers at a young age with my Grandparents. I remember selling my first dreamcatcher at a local Powwow.  I was so happy that someone was going to hang one of my creations in their home. As I got older, I crafted less and was more focused on my education and living my life with my friends.

After having both my children and the passing of my grandfather. A bunch of his crafting materials were passed down to myself and amongst my family. This is where my journey has picked back up.

 More than just a Dreamcatcher

I want my customers to feel a deep connection with their dreamcatcher, to hear its unique call. Each one is intuitively made, designed for its specific person. Beyond dreamcatchers, we also offer jewelry, Christmas ornaments, and wooden designs, all crafted with the same care and intention.
